Day 8-9

Sorry that we havent been able to update on a regular basis. I don't know whats been happening as the blog has been written almost every evening. The team returned safely from the jungle yesterday. After spending the night in Oromomo we got up early and flew over to San Lorenzo where we ate breakfast with Ivan and Ceny Lopex (WOLC Missionaries). We were able to see the radio station that broadcasts the gospel as well as see the construction of the new Bible school out there! Very COOL!

We then flew back, got showered, dressed and quickly ran out to by some souvenirs. We then came back and went out to eat for our host Joanna Murrins birthday! What a great time! We went back the Murrin home and got to visit with Ivan and Cendy Lopez as well as the Murrins. The Lord has really blessed us on this trip as far as health goes with only one person getting sick for less than a day. Thank you for praying! Today we are packing, cleaning and meeting a new missionary who will be going out to live in Oromomo. After that we will be heading out to buy and make a food box for Pastor Limber. The Pastor of Alpha and Omega. Around 6:30pm we will head to the airport to begin our journey home. I am not sure if I will be able to update when we are in Panama or not but I will do my best to send off a confirmation when we are back in the USA.

We are so thankful for all of your prayers,

Please pray for safe and smooth flights in the morning.

Day 6

Today is Bolivias independence day! There we flags everywhere. We had to hold off one more day one going out to the jungle so we headed up into the Andes mountains to visit some believers and see a church up there! We headed up there...we saw snow llamas on the way. The believers up there were not home however. They were out working in their fields. So we went to see the church and then headed home to pack and prepare for our jungle trip which starts tomorrow. We are leaving the guest house at 7:15am to hop into planes so that we can head out to Oromomo. We will visit with Tito and Dilma (WOLC missionaries). We will also do a VBS for what they have told us will be approx 100 kids and then meet with the brothers and sisters there for a evening service. Our plan is to come back on Wednesday. Hard to believe we leave Thursday....thankful for all that the Lord is doing! Thanks for praying.

Day 5

Today we were at 2 different churches, one we just attended but Nathan and Tony helped with the worship! The second one was the Alpha y Omega church. There we led a kids program at around 3pm. We then played soccer with the adults in the church. It was our team against their church. Girls vs girls and guys vs guys. It was a blast! Later that evening at approx 7pm we had an evening worship service with them. Heidi and chloe shared testimonies, Tony preached, and we all sang songs...at 9:30pm it was over. This is just a small summary of what went on today! God is moving! Thank you for praying! Below is a picture with the church.

Day 4

I will update you on Saturday soon. It was a great day and the Lord is continuing to work! Thanks for praying!

Day 3

This all took place Friday Aug 3rd.

Today we travelled out to Alpha and Omega. That is a church outside of the city of Cochabamba. It is Cendy's home church (WOLC supports Ivan and Cendy in San Lorenzo). We went to the church and shoveled and layes stone in preparation for cementing it tomorrow. Alpha and Omega has a special place in mine and Sarah's heart as that was one of the places we worked at on our first missions trip to Bolivia. Multiple men from the church showed up to help as they want to help with the work.

The ladies from the church made us this delicious chicken soup. WOW! Was it good. Chicken, green onion, beans, boiled potatoes and dried potatoes and rice. It was delicious and very filling...hard to eat more then a bowl. We took that time to talk with the believers there.

After lunch we prepared for a Vbs type event that was to begin at 2pm. We got out a soccer ball and started playing and kids came out of no where! We were then able to share Saul's  (Paul) conversion story. We then took that story and used it to share the gospel. We took multiple soccer balls with us that we present to different churches. Each ball is white and black. We use different markers to fill in the different colors of the wordless bracelet. It was great time!

Tomorrow we head back to finish the work. Thank you for praying. Please also pray for Alpha and Omega.

Day 2

Today was an awesome day! We woke up early and headed out to the ITM hanger. There we packed over 500 gift bags that will be used as gifts for children. All of the items that we packed were donated by someone that came before us. Things like toothbrush and toothpaste, bracelets, matchbox cars, crayons, sunglasses and much more. It was so neat to watch the team work together in that way. It wasn't what we had planned for today but it's what God had at aside for us to do! I'll include some pictures below.

Since we had to postpone our jungle trip last evening there wasn't a chance for us to set something up for the later afternoon or evening. So, we drove outside the city to a large statue of Jesus. It is the called "Cristo". It looks very similar to the one in Brazil. Up there you are able to get an amazing view of the city. One of our Students was looking down and shared that they were just watching a car drive. It was so small yet that person in the car has a story and it really hit him. He went on to share how much it reached him that we need to share the gospel. Such a cool testimony to hear!

Tomorrow we are headed to Alpha and Omega church. We will pouring cement in the morning and working to improve their Sunday School rooms. After lunch we are doing a VBS out there as well before coming home. Please pray that the Lord continues to give health and strength to the team. Also, that we clearly communicate the Gospel tomorrow. Thank you for praying!

Day 1

We have arrived in Cochabamba, Bolivia! Thank the Lord for safety! Our flights were pretty non-adventurous (other than no one was scheduled to sit beside each other). One of our students refused a meal on the plane because they thought it cost money :) HA! We all had a good laugh about that.

When we arrived at the airport they had us all put in different places and the flights were full! Our flight was delayed about 2 hours out of Panama, due to another flight coming in late, but that worked out well as it just cut down in our layover time in Santa Cruz. A few of us stayed up the entire time until we finally reached the guest house and were able to rest. Most slept at the airport :) you can see some of the pictures below.

Our plan was to head out to the jungle tomorrow 8/2. We were all packed but the weather will not allow it. We are making some changes to our itinerary due to that. We will update you soon. Tomorrow in the am we are heading out to the ITM and Mano a Mano hanger to help pack gift shoe boxes that will be used in the ministry.

Here are some pictures of weighing the bags for the jungle flights, sleeping in the airport, and doing some early morning devo's! Around 1 A.M.
